We were looking for a breakfast spot on our stay in Nashville on Monday 2-10. Found Big Bad Breakfast (BBB). The staff were exceptionally friendly. The menu was like going to a candy store, way too many choices! Scrambled eggs with cheese along with biscuits and gravy. Excellent! Our server, Abby was both helpful since this was our first time at BBB and very friendly. Stop by and try it out and have one of their coffee specials
If you are dying to come to this place, do so for brunch on a Tuesday for no wait. The staff was attentive and the food was interesting in a very good way. Parking can be a huge pain and if you are a patron during crowded brunch times, make sure you do not have anything important to discuss because this place can instantly be a speakerbox on high volume. My Mother and I enjoyed our food; just wished the drinks (dranks) could have been a bit bigger. Still, though, for $7 it's not terribly bad. If you don't like Tabasco, ask for the house-made hot sauce and get as much tomato gravy as you can!
First time visiting this establishment based on the recommendation from locals. Enjoyed our experience and the food so much that we returned the next day! First day our server was Corneshia. She has a warm personality, was attentive and patient will all of our requests. Give her a raise! The second day our server was Kevin. He was meh. Almost the complete opposite of Dez (overall customer experience and personality). We ate the same thing both times. Shrimp bowl with andouille sausage (low county skillet) and wheat toast. Eggs, bacon and pancake (BBB plate). The peach jelly was delish! I appreciate Dez finding brown sugar for my coffee. Ended up with cinnamon instead of sugar on day two . We will def return the next time we're in the area and will ask for Dez! Plenty of inside and outside seating. Have outside heaters. Bathrooms were clean. Venue was packed on New Year's Day, but noise level was not loud.
I ordered BBB through Uber Eats this morning, and we were not disappointed. This was perhaps the best biscuit I've had in Nashville. It was seasoned well, perfect amount of salt. Unfortunately the sausage gravy I ordered did not arrive with it but the biscuit was still amazing even on its own. I was skeptical of the hashbrown cake, but they were very yummy. You can tell they're freshly made and not mass-made fried hashbrown patties that so many restaurants serve. You get 2 per order. My husband ordered the Yard Works skilled which had eggs, mushrooms, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, peppers, spinach, with avocado and swiss cheese. It was absolutely delicious, but a small portion. Maybe that's because it was an online order, I'm not sure. The orange juice is 100% fresh squeezed and it was delightful. It's rare to find an OJ that tastes so crisp and fresh. I also enjoyed the fruit cup which had blueberries, strawberries, apples, and grapes. I love a fruit cup with berries! I'd like to eat here again, in person and try the gravy. I'd give it a 4.2 (ngl I was really bummed they forgot the gravy).
The weight staff was unbelievably helpful. Great biscuits were fresh cool ambience with reclaimed wood overall fantastic breakfast place.
